Digital Dens: KS1 & KS2 Teachers & Support Staff

Utilising practical skills integrated with the latest in digital technology, including collaborative documents, augmented reality and more, learn how to transform your pupils’ learning in fun and engaging ways.

  • Engage reluctant readers in English.
  • Build Problem solving and mastery skills in Maths.
  • Create inquisitive and creative learners.

All these are possible through the implementation of Digital Dens. Building on content creation and manipulation objectives from the National Curriculum, reinvigorate the way technology is implemented across your school. The Digital Dens course is suitable for any practitioner and will enable you to enhance pupils’ learning across the curriculum.

Key technologies for effective teaching in Y3 and Y4

This course will demonstrate a number of key apps and technologies that can be used creatively across the curriculum to share and present pupil learning. 

The course will demonstrate:

  • The key tools in each app and their learning potential

  • How to plan projects linked to your curriculum

  • How to setup the software for your class to use the technology effectively

Some of the apps covered will include:

  • Shadow Puppet Edu
  • Sketch Nation
  • Morfo
  • Tiny Tap
  • ComicBook!

Assessment Tracker Training

A half day training for schools who wish to use the hi-impact Computing tracker to assess the progress and achievement of their pupils. The training will introduce staff to the tracker, support them setting up for their school and discuss strategies for successfully deploying the tool in school. Includes ongoing support and updates for the year.

The course will demonstrate ipad and web based software, so whether you have ipads, laptops or android tablets, you will go back to school proficient users in some of the following creative technology.
