Mooncamp Community Day

Wirral Borough Council, in conjunction with hi-impact consultancy, invite you to attend ‘Mooncamp- The Community Day’ on October 5th 2019.

The Community Day aims to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing with Science and Technology activities, crafts, music, performances and presentations, as well as food and music.. all for FREE! Activities are aimed at Primary School children but bring along friends and family to join too!

A fantastic one day workshop for Y2-4 teachers and support staff, guiding you through each of the concepts that underpin the Computing Curriculum Programme of Study. The day will provide you with a range of resources, including unplugged activities that you can easily adapt to the classroom. It will explore the concepts in further detail through the creation of mini- Scratch projects.

The session is designed to provide support to non specialist teachers.

This course will demonstrate a number of key apps and technologies that can be used creatively across the curriculum to share and present pupil learning.

The course will demonstrate:

  • The key tools in each app and their learning potential
  • How to plan projects linked to your curriculum
  • How to setup the software for your class to use the technology effectively

Some of the apps covered will include:

Assessment Tracker Training

A half day training for schools who wish to use the hi-impact Computing tracker to assess the progress and achievement of their pupils. The training will introduce staff to the tracker, support them setting up for their school and discuss strategies for successfully deploying the tool in school. Includes ongoing support and updates for the year.
