Remember last year when you coloured in for Jake? He needs your help again – he’s made a mistake!

Just the other night, before trotting off to bed, an unsavoury thought had entered his head.

“What of this year?” he woofed “I didn’t give Santa my list. Could I be forgotten – completely dismissed?”

“I know!” said Jake – eyes shining bright, “I’ll ask my school friends to help make this right!”

Climbing over his dad’s winter sweater, Jake penned a big Christmas letter, “Hello my friends, how do you do? I’ve missed you all lots, your messages too! I need your help again – my list – I forgot to show him. All I really want for Christmas is some drawings and poems!”

Can YOU help Jake by writing and illustrating a poem for him!? Read below to see how you can enter our competition and what you can win!

Jake’s Friends

Santa Claus

Santa Claus

AKA St. Nich / Nicky

We all know Santa Claus, don’t we? I bet some of you have even met him! But Christmas is a VERY busy time of year for him, which is why Jake needs your help getting the word out through the most magical arts – drawing and poetry!

Santa likes smiling children, sitting down and cookies.

Elephant Ted

Elephant Ted

AKA Ellie

Jake’s bestest friend in the whole wide world, Elephant Ted has been with Jake since he was only a pup and follows him everywhere he goes.

Ellie likes sleeping, dozing and going to bed.

Spike the Hedgehog

Spike the Hedgehog

AKA Spikey

Jake met Spike, the friendly little hedgehog last Christmas, when he heard him rustling through the bushes outside. After helping Jake look for Elephant Ted in last years’ Snowy Night Hike, they became great friends and have been so ever since!

Spike likes trees, gardens and thorn bushes.

The Big Ginger Cat

The Big Ginger Cat

AKA Gingey

People think cats and dogs don’t get a long, but that’s not true! Jake and Gingey are each others favourite neighbours – often playing fetch together and talking about what they want for Christmas!

Gingey likes fish, milk and climbing.

Derek the Mouse

Derek the Mouse

AKA Derek (He doesn't like 'Dezza')

Derek isn’t your typical mouse, for one thing he wears a hat! He’s also extremely clever and was once able to count all the holes in a piece of swiss cheese as he was eating it! He has many friends including Jake, who he acts to play with a lot!

Derek likes reading, cheese and coming up with solutions.
